Recently, we sent an InfoAlert (usw.to/43L) to tell you about our concerns regarding efforts in Massachusetts to ban the use of natural gas in new and renovated buildings. We are proud of the work our USW gas workers do every day to keep Massachusetts residents safe and warm. Banning gas connections will drive up the cost of housing, kill construction jobs, and put our infrastructure at risk. Natural gas will be a critical fuel source for many years to come and there are alternative fuels and new technologies that can use the gas system infrastructure in the future. Click here to continue
