| Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida on Wednesday with the full force of a Category 4 storm. As the now downgraded tropical storm continues its path up the East Coast, the AFL-CIO is in close contact with labor leaders in the affected areas as we prepare to provide immediate relief where it’s needed. This destruction comes more than a week after Hurricane Fiona caused devastation in Puerto Rico, where the labor movement is ramping up our help for union members and communities on the island.
